At the WTTU Black Belt Academies, parents are as important to us as the students. We truly value their opinion and we are always thankful for their support for our club and their children. We often get feedback from parents on matters regarding the positive impact of Taekwondo in their child's life. The following are some of the comments from the parents of students at Sunshine Ridge Taekwondo.

"------" recently had a student teacher. After class "----" was the only student to remain to tell her, 'that she did a good job and he enjoyed her class'. It is rare for a student to pass on a compliment or show appreciation to a teacher. Something he has learned this past month in TaeKwonDo as you studied the Attitude of Gratitude.

"----" is thoughly enjoying and benefiting from his TaeKwonDo classes. "----" and I have discussed and come up with reasons why he is able to apply for his blue stripe. His appreciation for me and what I do for him and our family is much greater. He is thankful for the EXTRA help and worksheets his teacher gives him to help him improve at school.

"---" has been exceptionally generous especially during and after Christmas. She has deprived herself in order to share more with the family. We were extremely touched by this selfless gesture.

School Teacher - "----" is certainly helpful, friendly in class and giving of his time for others. (editors note: The comment was in response to the monthly theme of generosity in time, talent and treasures.)

His patience and understanding is greatly appreciated ! "----" has been helping his younger brother even when he really had other things to do.

Since "-----' started Taekwondo, I have noticed a big difference in her attitude and manner. She is very respectful and courteous to everyone at home. This is one of many positive things that she has gain from her training at the WTTU Black Bekt Academies.

"------" has learned a lot about encouragement in the last few weeks. He has encouraged his brothers at home when they have played piano well. He has been encouraging his mom and dad also. Thank you, Sandra

Their lessons from this program helped the boys to be more tolerant of each other. I don't need to be constantly on their backs.

Our daughter's self esteem has improved dramatically in the 1.5 years we've had her enrolled in Mr. Lister's Taekwondo program. The leadership skills he teaches are showing through. She is becoming a very confident and responsible person. We are very proud of her and very appreciative of Mr. Lister's program. She also loves attending and has lots of fun.

Our daughter volunteered to help out in a bottle drive even when none of her friends were doing it. We have done a lot of fund raisers at Pathfinders to attend a summer camp. She has gone the extra mile to help out when she is not even asked.

Thank you for your help and I am very pleased with and proud of "------" showing encouragement. He is very encouraging in verbal support as I work in new areas. He shows good sportsmanship even if losing. Recently he gave half his lunch to a friend whose lunch had gone bad.
